A youngish man of few words, he fixes you with an unfaltering stare, more curiosity than judgment. He lets his wines do the talking. His fascinating Cuvee Etalon seems to search outside the region for its reference points. Thick, chewy, some red fruit confit. Surprisingly present tannins and yet supple.
